At this time, we offer only dye sublimation printing at Pattern Studio. Dye sublimation is a technique that uses heat-sensitive ink. Under the influence of heat, the ink transforms into gas and the pores of the fabric open up to absorb the ink. By decreasing the temperature, the ink turns into sold form and the fabric pores get closed. Since the ink becomes part of the structure of the material, the images on the fabric do not fade or crack - even after multiple washing. In addition to synthetic fiber fabrics, dye sublimation is also possible on any surface to which a polymer coating can be applied such as aluminum, hardboard, MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), steel, fiberglass reinforced plastic, natural wood, rigid plastic, and ceramic.
